The purpose of our database aims to create a better experience for those who are hosting and attending
banquets, as well as to help with the efficiency and flexibility of the system currently in place at Park Country Club. Our database allows managment to be more meticulous with customer requests and prevents any loss of business that may have occurred in the past due to the inefficient paper filing system, which would ultimately lead
to greater customer satisfaction.
Our database stores the information of the banquets that the country club hosts. This includes information such as members, food menus selected, food preferences (allergies, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) as well as billing details. Unlike the current system where members are required to fill out a banquet form, members can fill out a “Customers Form” which gets stored directly into our database, specifying their personal details, food preferences, number of attendees as well as special requests. With this database, Park Country Club is able to use tables, queries and the many other functions of Access to organize the data of each individual banquet. Furthermore, with the calculated functions in Access, the database can generate accurate billing reports.
